How to cultivate talent in your academy, pierce opponent Fog of War through scouting, and prepare for the draft.

Youth Academy (Ages 16–20)

European (local and international) clubs run an academy of 10–15 prospects at a time — the most cost-effective path to developing future leaders. ProBA (the US pro league) has no academies; it drafts its talent instead.

Global Academy League (GAL)

Prospects compete in a dedicated global youth championship in the background, gaining vital match experience.

Promotion to PRO

Starting at age 18, prospects can be promoted to the first team — the contract becomes fully guaranteed. Do not delay forever: the best 18-year-olds without a guaranteed pro deal can be poached by the college system (NCBA) during the offseason (an Inbox decision), and you may lose the talent without compensation.

Scouting & Fog of War

Baxball never grants omniscient x-ray vision. Opponent rosters and market free agents stay partially obscured:

Default Level: Ratings appear as letter grades or bands. True developmental potential (POT) is hidden under a question mark.
3 Daily Scout Actions: Every manager receives 3 daily scouting credits. Scouting unveils 100% exact OVR, POT, and injury proneness until season close.
Fair Play (No-P2W): Additional scouting actions cannot be bought with real money or Premium perks. Equal footing for every competitor.

The Draft & Pick Trading

During the offseason (D65), the annual ProBA draft takes place — only the ProBA (US) clubs pick. The shared pool of 19–22-year-old candidates holds college (NCBA) standouts, academy-released prospects and international players. European clubs do not draft:

Pick Trading

Pick trading applies only to ProBA — European clubs never trade players in exchange. It is also guarded: salary-matching rules and protections against trading away all future picks.

Rookie Deals

Drafted prospects sign standardized, team-friendly rookie pacts providing cost-controlled upside.
